RENT A TREE: SAVE A SALMON

The event takes place from 10-2 Saturday, Dec. 18, at the NW Stream Center located in Snohomish County's McCollum Park, 600 128th Street SE, Everett.   Then, after you take down your decorations, return the tree to the NW Stream Center, and the Adopt A Stream Foundation will put your tree to use next spring restoring stream banks and protecting salmon habitat.

The trees rent for $20 plus a $10 refundable return deposit.  Return drop off is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 3 through 7.

Anyone that returns their tree on or before January 7th will receive their deposit plus a annual Adopt A Stream Foundation membership that includes great discounts on Streamkeeper Academy classes and their Nature Store as well as use of the natural resources library!

Last year many people really enjoyed not only having a small live tree for the holidays to brighten their homes but also the fact that the trees were going to such a great use after the holidays were done. What a great way to enjoy nature in your home and benefit Salmon environments!
